When i finished watching this film, I was sobbing, the amount of times i cried during this film was one too many, it was a very relatable and open eyed movie. This movie makes me feel seen, as a trans male i feel like I have just seen one of the best LGBTQ+ films to ever come across my viewing.

I really liked this movie. It's a fantastic movie and I love it. (To the person that said the main character disregarded others' feelings, I understand, but they're also a teenager, and I found this incredibly comforting. A lot of movies display children as troublemakers without good parts or just little angels without fault, and this film showed problems/faults while still maintaining the character as a whole, who is a relatively good person :)

Confusing, no plot points, no sense of timeline, inconsistent, genuinely terrible.

The way of telling the story of the character's self-understanding as transgender is interesting. But aside from the LGBT+ aspect, it's just a story of a boy finding himself while ignoring the feelings and problems of everyone around him.

Quite interesting cinematography here in some parts. I´m no film student but I liked the scenes in that spacey area with the hearth, and when he cut his hair and it went into the mirror, and from there out again. That was great.
Despite that, the movie suffers from portraying the people around our protagonist as too supporting. Yes, some characters struggle with accepting him as a boy, but toshick is never bullied, or really made fun of.
I HATE the scene where the whole damn class calls out that one transphobic teacher who wont tall toshek a boy. When I first saw it, I thought it was a dream scene. It is just so painfully unrealistic. Teens are basically the kings of anxiousness and hate. Even if they do not hate queer people, they pretend they do because a few loud people say so, and they dont want to be outsiders. Something like that would never happen. Not in a million years. Tosiek is never harassed by anyone but that teacher, that one guy, and some guys from work at his fathers.
If anything, this movie should have been longer.
It should have taken more time to explore Tosiek realizing he is a boy, and it should have taken more time for him to come out. Many people struggle with coming out, and it would have helped to portray that struggle in the movie. Another thing this movie should have done, is portray more people be transphobic, and more importantly to portray people who silently ignore it. Lots of teens dont agree with what jerks are spewing, but they choose to ignore it. That, or they nod their head in fake agreement. Some teens are genuently homophobic. Some teens arent, but pretend to be. Some who pretend to be, are lgbtq theselves. Portraying the struggle of all that, could have made the movie great. Another thing that bothered me, is that the guy who was in love with tosiek, just continued to be so after he came out. Then the movie claims he was gay all along. Well, why was he attracted to the female version of him then? More importantly, what if he wasnt gay? That would be interesting. It seemed like in the beginning he was straight, but then the writers decided to make him gay. And if he was gay, and did still not love male tosiek, well that would be genius. What if he never did love tosiek in the first place, but tosiek did love him. He knows the guy is gay and flirts with him. But the guy cant love tosiek because he loves dick, and tosiek, although he is a guy, doesnt have any. He has the body of a female, and being male is not enough for gay people to suddently like you. Thinking that is stupid. If I were gay, i know i woudnt be attracted to trans boys. Exploring that issue would be interesting. But the movie doesnt ddo that. furthermore , it seems like it dropped the whole fanfic aspect in the second half. It could have been used much better, and much more effectivly. But it is just kind of there.
Nontheless, the movie is relatable, and the characters mostly complex.
