Audience Member Funny and enjoyable. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member This will likely be my most biased review yet, but Foo Fighters are a top 5 band for me (#4 to be precise), and this movie just cuts open their stomach and lets the guts spill out for every fan to see... and I love it for that. The documentary consists of interviews from each band member from the origin of the band all the way until their 2011 album, "Wasting Light." Some serious light is shed on this band which many probably thought was made up of a bunch of easy-going guys who got famous because their Singer was in Nirvana, but that couldn't be more wrong. Like every music documentary, we discover unseen tensions between the band and plenty of opportunities for them to break up and hate each other forever, but somehow they were able to put it all aside to keep making great music. Some might be annoyed that the documentary takes some predictable turns: the drummer who overdoses, kicking less talented members out of the band, the musicians being angry at their charismatic front man who has cool side projects, and so on and so forth. So if you're a fan of Foo Fighters it will unveil so much information on their history that you never knew existed and gives their music another level of depth because you now know what was going through their heads as they recorded each album. If you aren't a fan, then this might end up being a boring chronology of a mainstream rock band. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member Such a great documentary. Much respect for Dave. True musician. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member A nice documentary about the history of the Foo Fighters and how they made "Wasting Light" in Dave Grohl's garage. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member One of my all time favorite bands tell their story. I laughed my ass off and believe it or not, cried, during this film. They've come such a long way in the music industry and their story is inspirational. Absolutely LOVE the Foo Fighters! Rock on!
