The long joke of the narrative is adroitly handled, and for once the climax pays off in laughs. Go to Full Review

The movie is a hollow throwback to classic comedy, and it shines only by contrast with dull studio competition. Go to Full Review

The spoofy action set-pieces are ho hum. What's special is the minutiae-based, casually political banter. Go to Full Review

Its great screenplay allows for a little more storyline and suspense then what we expect from most comedy films while Jason Bateman once again shows why he is the current king of comedy. Go to Full Review

Flush with snickering hilarity and scoring plenty of points for swerving surprises, Game Night is infectiously entertaining with any cheese it serves. Go to Full Review

Harkening back to the mid-budget comedy movies that have sadly disappeared from the mainstream, Game Night is the sort of breezy movie that has great potential for universal appeal, if only people are able to find out about it. Go to Full Review

Spencer P @s_plewe 1d Combining an enthusiastic ensemble with a simply funny premise, executed with sharp timing and beautiful cinematography, Game Night is fun for fun's sake, and for once, that's not a bad thing. See more shane O @Shanes_DVD_Shack 3d I really didn’t like anything about it . The acting , the story , the vibe. I don’t understand the high rating . This one wasn’t for me See more Judah S @Judah3963 6d It was funny and it was entertaining but otherwise a little dull. See more E.D. J @Salty_Sass Jun 27 This movie has zero right to be this goddamn funny and good. This was such a sleeper hit of a movie but I honestly can't recommend it enough. See more Iradukunda A @RT68093105 Jun 26 Game Night was a blast from the start to the finish. The comedy, mystery, action were so well that there's never a dull moment. The team delivered great performances, and the clever twists keep the story exciting without feeling overdone. I laughed a lot, but I also found myself completely invested in what would happen next. It's a rare comedies that's just as fun to re-watch again because every scene is packed with energy and humor. Definitely one of the best comedy films of the last decade. See more Chris S @Janomi Jun 25 Game Night was a pleasant surprise. The screenplay is much smarter than I expected, constantly finding ways to turn an ordinary game night into an increasingly outrageous crime thriller. The twists keep coming, the dialogue is genuinely funny, and the movie does a great job balancing comedy with real suspense. Jason Bateman reminds me why he's one of my favorite comedic actors. His chemistry with Rachel McAdams feels effortless, and they're incredibly easy to root for as everything spirals out of control. Jesse Plemons nearly steals the movie as Gary. Every awkward stare and perfectly timed line somehow becomes funnier than the last. Directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein make the film look far more stylish than a typical comedy. The creative camera work, miniature-style transitions, and energetic action scenes give it a personality of its own. See more Read all reviews
