Subtle to a fault, this perfectly cast ensemble drama is lifted by typically sharp performances from Robert Duvall and Bill Murray.

isla s This is a quirky film, with an intriguing story and interesting characters. Its based on a real life legend, apparently, so there may be some truth to it. I thought it was interesting how different people, locals in the nearby community, reacted to the hermit, Felix Bush and what we learn about him. This film has a great cast, including Robert Duvall, Sissy Spacek and Bill Murray. I'd say its a somewhat thought provoking film and one I'd happily recommend, yes. There are some amusing moments in it as well as serious aspects to it as well. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review nuveau s An engaging tale made more compelling by great performances. Mr. Duvall is as marvelous as ever and as ever makes the role his own. Ms. Spacek reminds us what a marvelous actor she is as well. And throughout, Mr. Murray provides a deft touch of humor. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Might be a bit to subtle but a perfect cast that is lifted by Duvall and Murray. Love the idea of throwing your own funeral while still alive. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/08/23 Full Review Daniel N Beautiful story elevated by the sweet and terrific performance by Robert Duvall. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/07/21 Full Review Audience Member This movie was great. The cast is top notch. For me, there were some very memorable/meaningful lines in this. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/04/21 Full Review Audience Member Set in depression era Appalachia, Robert Duvall plays an aging hermit who has a guilty conscience about something he did as a young man. Good acting performance by Duvall, as well as Bill Murray, who supplies some of the film's lighter moments. Interesting plot that is carefully rolled out. Good cinematography. This film has one of the better movie intros that I can recall. Overall, a well put together movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Paul Byrnes Sydney Morning Herald Get Low is a handmade kind of film. Its ambitions are modest, but fully attained. I rarely use the words ''go see it'', but I hope a lot of people do.
