Eric D. Snider Film.com More polish could have made this alarming psycho-drama resonate better, but even as it stands it's a nerve-racking good time. Rated: B Jul 24, 2013 Full Review Brian Tallerico HollywoodChicago.com Sadly, Jeremy Power Regimbal's intense drama doesn't offer anything significant to a horror genre filled with superior choices. Rated: 2.0/5.0 Nov 9, 2012 Full Review Dennis Harvey Variety An unnerving home-invasion thriller. Nov 8, 2012 Full Review Patrick Cavanaugh The Wolfman Cometh Its overall aesthetic will keep you engaged, otherwise it's a relatively straightforward and by-the-numbers home-invasion horror. Rated: 3/5 Sep 22, 2023 Full Review Brian Orndorf Blu-ray.com Dies a horrible death in the second half, which is a crying shame when the opening is so strong and uniquely disturbing. Rated: C- Nov 15, 2012 Full Review Scott Wold Paste Magazine The most frustrating thing about Jeremy Power Regimbal's directorial debut is there's part of a very effective thriller here. It's just not the good part. Rated: 5.8/10 Nov 14, 2012 Full Review Read all reviews

Regina P I liked the beginning... and then I don't know I feel about the rest. I feel like I should watch the beginning again, because the ending confused me. Sometimes I felt like perhaps the movie was trying to trick me as to who the real invaders were, and the last shot really raised my suspicion. But that would not square with a lot of the details and actions throughout the film. I think the story was probably straight forward as told, and the author was probably intentionally trying to add intrigue. But that would be an interesting movie to do! Where you actually have to watch it again to see if you can tell who the real invaders are! I hope someone does that movie in the future. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 06/30/23 Full Review Courtney K this movie was fine, i think i just went into it with the wrong expectations. i kept waiting for these people to actually physically take over their bodies like a body-snatcher/body-swap type situation. but it turned out they were literally just people being assholes. the family could've fought back harder than they did; the dad, while creepy & uncomfortable, was a walking toothpick, i think his son would've been more of a challenge. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 06/11/23 Full Review Mark P I cant understand the negativity around this film, it is well acted, claustrophobic and unsettling. The bleached out palette sums up the emptiness in both the parties lives. Overall much more than the sum of its parts. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 06/24/22 Full Review Audience Member I can kind of understand why this movie got some flack. The opposing family act pretty peculiar right from the get go, which only makes things have less of an impact later on in that regard (and don't get me started on the weird dialogue). But despite this the movie is actually pretty well acted and the intensity is done superbly. We also get some back story/motivation with most of the adult characters which helps a lot, and tends to be something that goes a miss with a lot of horror-thrillers. So yes the movie has flaws, but despite the flaws I found it a rather enjoyable watch due to it's other elements being done brilliantly, and therefore succeeding in making the audience feel generally uncomfortable... or at least for me anyway. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review a.l.jude p Michael Haneke movie revisited buy the plot keeps coming straight and flowless than a Heneke movie.
