Rock icons -- Jimmy Page, the Edge and Jack White -- from three different generations come together to discuss the electric guitar and their musical influences. The men swap stories and crank up their instruments on an empty soundstage for a jam session. Along the way, they visit the majestic hall where "Stairway to Heaven" was composed, Jack White composes a song on-camera at a Tennessee farmhouse, and the Edge lays down tracks for a U2 single.

Georgan G And those loud rock guitars made the best music ever. The history of rock is part of the lives of us who were there. Right on, brothers...from a 76-years old hippie... Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/09/24 Full Review Audience Member OK doc.. Shot Too dark. No chemistry at all between the three guitarist. Talking over each other. Edge clearly not nearly as good as Jack White. Let alone Jimmy page. Too political. Kinda boring. There are worse doc's but I found myself fast forwarding. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member This documentary never gets old. The way that these three musicians interact with each other, without trying to overpower one another, makes for a magical, musical experience. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member "Musicians, On Top Of Their Game, Have To Constantly Look Over & Above That Musical Horizon" - Jimmy Page..This Is, Nothing But A Pure Pleasure To Watch As They Simply Take In Each Others Style, Smile & Laugh Each Others Appreciation For Sound & What It Brings To Your Soul. Connecting With People Through One Of The Most Under-Rated Instruments, As The Guitar Just Gets Played By Everyone In The End At Some Point.. If Only They Could Had Some Others Involved In This Project, Like Flea (Red Hot Chill Peppers) & Slash (Guns & Roses) Or Eddie Vedder / Stone Gossard (Pearl Jam) But You Know...It's Still A Pretty Good Take. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member So enjoyable! I've watched this three times. It makes me pick up my guitar after each viewing. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member What a wonderful doc that takes 3 extremely different guitar artists and blends the backgrounds and passion so you feel the bond and breathe of how this machine fuels there soul. Great measures with Jack's kid version of himself and it gives great insight on the past and where they each were brought to at this time and the journey. Just enough to get you there and intrigue the future and chemistry of them all. Great stuff here and well played as this could have very quickly gone bad and been boring. Great exposure to old hits and enough new jams to make ones wonderment climb. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews
