It's been 10 years since Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) walked away from the agency that trained him to become a deadly weapon. Hoping to draw him out of the shadows, CIA director Robert Dewey assigns hacker and counterinsurgency expert Heather Lee to find him. Lee suspects that former operative Nicky Parsons is also looking for him. If it was "just another action" movie you might forgive its lack of plot and rather pedestrian nature but it DEMANDS that you know Bourne's back history and so makes comparisons with the original trilogy inevitable - and it's as aimless as they were direct and as flabby as they were taut.

Just one long action scene. 30 mins in I had a headache, 15 mins later I'd lost interest and was looking forward to turning in and reading. It's come to a sad state of affairs when it's hard to find a good book, and just as hard to find a good movie.

This movie is 80% second unit shot. Cars chase cars, bad guys chase Bourne , a lot of crowd scenes, and a lot of people walking always at a fast clip. Matt Damon is in scenes with other actors for about a total of 10 minutes film time. The story line is weak and the execution is poor. How in God's name you could spend 120 million making this boring "triller" is beyond me. As an added bonus the music is bad but plays in nearly every scene. There is a good reason they never made another JB movie after this.
