Olive THIS MOVIE FEELS LIKE IT WAS MADE FOR ME. COMBINING LIKE HALF OF MY FAVORITE THINGS ALL INTO ONE. OH MY GOD. A NEW COMFORT MOVIE FOR ME FOR SURE. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/20/24 Full Review Jango M A girl's delight is finding a movie that is filled with eccentricity, girl love and French Renaissance core in a adorable Japanese Lolita girl Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/07/23 Full Review a z Better than the novel Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 12/24/22 Full Review andy h It sent you a female friendship is admirable but some of the over the top antics cinematography and acting may be too much for some viewers Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member A tale of friendship between two extremely opposite Japanese girls with funny and cute storytelling. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member A cult film and with very good reason. Although Kamikaze Girls may first come to most people's attention as a Japanese pop culture icon, it is much more then just that. The two cartoonishly opposite leads of; an attention grabbing biker girl and a border line sociopath obsessed only with cute clothes, are perfectly cast in Tsuchiya and Fukada. Their respective characters are then broken down to their core values and fears throughout the story. Nakashima's trademark imaginatively kinetic direction gets through the plot and character development with ease. The script serves up dashes of perfectly timed humour as well. This is a colourful and detailed film that is so much more clever than it's admittedly positive hype often suggests. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews
