Audience Member Give this 22-minute Lego special credit, at least it isn't shy to admit it's a commercial. Unlike the 2D-animated stuff that was available at the time, this fun-sized Marvel adventure was actually kinda fun and didn't have stilted animation or pathetic excuses for action sequences. Slightly better characterisations too. But the silly story can't hide the fact that it was blatantly done to advertise the MCU. Not just with the then-current Avengers lineup, but also having Ultron as the villain, Ant-Man as an ally and even having him ride Iron Man. And before you say this came out before Civil War, the trailer had already been uploaded showing the Scott Lang version being on...Iron Man's person. So yeah, the animation studio that does all these Lego specials totally knew what they were doing. Avengers Reassembled is stupid yet fun and is one of the better animated Marvel things not named Big Hero 6, What If...? or Into the Spider-Verse but it's still fairly juvenile and would've benefitted more from having the likes of Phil Lord and Chris Miller on board. Yes, nearly everything those two touch turns into gold. If this special can be a shameless plug for the MCU, I can shamelessly talk about The Lego Movie being the greatest thing since sliced bread! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Ha! Cute. :) Obviously G-rated on the violence scale which is disappointing, but good humour and a brief look into an expanded Marvel Cinematic Universe. Nice appearance by Iron Fist as well. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Very cute. Gotta love Thor! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Prepared to be punished by the hand of Loki. Loki, back at Asgard, has discovered an orb that provides individuals with a super ability to destroy and forces them to do his bidding. He watches the super heroes on planet Earth thwart every super villains attempt to triumph over good, so Loki uses the orb on Spiderman's villains, as well as some other villains from the Marvel universe in hopes of helping them win and aiding his ability to take over the planet. Can our heroes stop Loki and his supped up villains? "You'll be correcting my grammar out of the other side of your helmet." Greg Richardson, director of three Barbie movies, three Max Steele movies, and the Lego: Marvel Super Heroes television series, delivers Lego: Marvel Super Heroes Maximum Overload. The storyline for this picture was fun and fairly cliché comic genre. The animation was awesome and I adore the use of the Marvel Universe (very well done). "Think of me as your teacher." "Do I have to stay after class?" I grabbed this off Netflix because my daughter loved the Lego movie and we both adore super heroes so this seemed right up our alley; and in all honestly, we loved it. We giggled all the way through it and I couldn't believe how good the animation was. Overall, this is definitely a kids movie you and your children can enjoy together. "Exploitative deleted." Grade: B Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member a little hokey, but the Legos are still kinda cute. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
