During the German occupation of France, Edmond Batignole (Gérard Jugnot) quietly operates a butcher shop, refusing to participate in politics. His daughter is engaged to Pierre-Jean Lamour (Jean-Paul Rouve), a Nazi-collaborator playwright. A Jewish child, Simon (Jules Sitruk) comes to Edmond's doorstep and asks for asylum after police arrest his family. He agrees to hide the boy from the authorities. Eventually, more children join Simon, and Edmond must take drastic action to protect them.

02/06/2017 Una muy buena película es Monsieur Batignole, que trata temas extremadamente delicados, tales como el colaboracionismo de algunas personas y de la policía durante la ocupación alemana, o el cómo algunas personas se aprovechan de todo. Gérard Jugnot no es sólo un muy buen actor, de los mejores del cine francés actual, sino que también es un más que digno realizador. Una historia absolutamente recomendable, ya que no cae en sensiblerías. Un saludo!
