A very intense and enjoyable mystery Thriller. The kills were very well executed and the acting was well done. The only hard part about this movie was keeping up with the reading of the lines. Tim Treakle

Highly enjoyable giallo that I actually cared who the fuck did it. Very often that's not the case w/ these that I just sorta watch them for style, kills, score (which this one is done by Ennio Morricone & is great) & don't actually give a shit about the investigation because they don't give you enough clues & the red herrings are out of control. George Hilton makes you care. You're right along w/ him until the end. You don't even care that he can't stick it to his old lady because your mind is else where along w/ his. Engrossing w/ some really good kills including the opening w/ a trowel & what for lack of a better word a type of circular saw. That saw (as depicted on the cover) is brutal..and fun fun fun

Very good Italian murder-mystery. One of the better giallo's I've seen recently with a good compelling plot, a bunch of memorably violent deaths and a classy music score from Ennio Morricone. Obviously the film has dated over the 40 years since it's been made but it's still capable of entertaining fans of the genre.

The cold open was obvious and fairly nonsensical, but that didn't stop it being brilliant - is there anything better than using a JCB to decapitate someone? The rest of the film didn't quite live up to this, though the killing with the buzz saw was pretty audacious - and frankly if you're gonna stand there while he goes into the other room to fetch a buzz saw and then when you see he has a buzz saw and is looking like he's gonna kill you with it yet you keep on standing there, well you deserve all you get.
This giallo keeps you guessing who the dear killer is until the very very end although as the whole cast has been set up as a potential killer, its fairly arbitrary which one the writer has ultimately chosen. Good work.
