georgan g 3 & 1/4 stars. This pulled the heartstrings for Native Americans, generally, and the main character, specifically. Jason Mamoa is not only good to look at but a darn good actor. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Mamoa riding his bike. Mamoa riding his bike with friend. Mamoa riding his bike with Lisa. Mamoa riding his bike. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review elizabeth c I just watched this for the first time and I am sorry I waited so long. I love a story that builds and shows who characters are along the way. The pace is perfect, and we are shown as much as we are told so that by the end you know exactly why it plays out the way it does with no exposition needed. It is also visually stunning from start to finish. It is well cast, and all of the character interactions, even those not pivotal to the story, feel genuine. I rarely re-watch films but definitely plan to keep this one on my list. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Great writing and directorial debut for Momoa. Loved it until the end. Hate sad endings. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Audience Member A great movie to watch as a form of escapism, especially if you like motorcycle, but even if you don't. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review jay s The story's potential is not explored well. Nothing happened in the first 15 minutes. Quite boring. Gary Goldstein Los Angeles Times An effective throwback to the loose-limbed, my-way-or-the-highway road movies of the "Easy Rider" era. Jul 10, 2014 Full Review Jeannette Catsoulis New York Times None of this is riveting, but the film's loose naturalism and strong acting - Chris Browning, as a liaison between the F.B.I. and the reservation, is especially enjoyable - are slyly seductive. Jul 10, 2014 Full Review Joe Neumaier New York Daily News Momoa makes much of it work through sheer force of will as Wolf, a chopper-riding Native American hunted by venal lawmen and seeking his mother's killer. Rated: 3/5 Jul 10, 2014 Full Review Debbie Lynn Elias Behind The Lens Creating an almost 'Easy Rider' vibe, as writer/first-time director/actor, Jason Momoa dazzles with moody emotional depth and a stylized visual eye, delivering a film that is not only beautiful to look at but beautifully done. Dec 14, 2019 Full Review Brent Simon Paste Magazine Less a failure of competing or conflicting visions and more just a buffet of poorly executed meanderings. Rated: 3.2/10 Aug 16, 2014 Full Review Serena Fragassi Under the Radar All the visceral cut and paste art can't fully form Momoa's story. Rated: 5/10 Aug 5, 2014 Full Review Read all reviews
