Audience Member http://letterboxd.com/zbender/film/sarah-silverman-we-are-miracles/ I've heard good things about Silverman, but ultimately I just didn't laugh often (if at all). The opening and closing sketches were meh, and her attempts to be edgy were miss. There was a point where she said a joke I found truly funny, but then she backed off and said that wasn't a part of it. The rest I don't remember because there was not much that stood out. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Sarah is one sick, twisted, vile, uncouth, nasty, disgusting wretch. She is downright filthy, and the fact that she is beautiful makes me want to marry her, and have 2 kids.....a boy and a girl. Jacob, and Ally will be their names. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Raunchy, inconsiderate & inventively humorous ; Sarah's on stage material is almost identical to her Bedwetter book; but her on stage mannerisms do lend a greater comedic value to her work ! Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Hysterical. I cried laughing. Silverman has a dark sense of humor but she mines a wealth of truth and hilarity from her jokes. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member This is far from the funniest stand-up set I've seen, but there are moments of brilliance, and her liberal use of the glorious c-bomb gives me the warm fuzzies. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Sarah Silverman does what she does best, looks really cute while spouting utter filth and it's brilliant. Hank Stuever Washington Post Brisk and pleasingly outrageous. Nov 22, 2013 Full Review Brian Lowry Variety Nevertheless, the HBO special - in which Silverman plays to a 39-seat room, the most intimate of standup settings - offers a pretty good metaphor for her career, opting for the intimacy of a side room instead of the main stage. Nov 22, 2013 Full Review Neil Drumming Salon.com The satisfaction that you will experience is perfectly in sync with the mellow alternating gurgles of laughter and expressions of discomfort emanating from the small audience... and maybe that's the point. Nov 21, 2013 Full Review Brent Simon Shockya.com Silverman is plenty smart, and has an enjoyably warped perspective that includes shrewdly observed, amusingly idiosyncratic takes on a wide variety of topics. Rated: B Aug 6, 2019 Full Review Brent Simon Shared Darkness The inimitable stamp of Silverman's dark, tart personality is again on rich display in her latest stand-up comedy offering.
