I completely enjoyed this movie. Very funny, very thoughtful. Acting was superb by all, and Leah McKendrick in the lead was outstanding. I would recommend seeing this movie.

I really was enjoying the first 30 to 45 minutes. I thought it was slow and took a while to find its rhythm. The guy in the back testing out all of the seats certainly didn’t help either. After that I actually started to like it a little. Went from two stars to 3 1/2 overall, I really like the actor who plays the dad

I clicked on Scrambled while I was searching for a background movie, and instead found one of the best films I’ve seen in a long time. Leah McKendrick is an undeniable force as writer, director, and lead. It’s beautifully shot, filling every second with moments that are sharp, raw, funny, and deeply empathetic. This film pulled me into an emotional honesty that so few films ever achieve. She wins at capturing the full female experience. Definitely was not a background movie. She had my full attention. Can’t wait for more from the great Madame McKendrick.

The rhythm of this film demands extra effort to get through its first half. Consider it a sign. I insisted on seeing it through to the end—but I shouldn’t have. The main character's delayed maturation—being 34 but acting like 20—adds to the sluggish pacing, making it difficult to stay engaged. While the theme explored is relevant, the execution fails to make it compelling.
