4/5
If Anderson does sometimes lean too far into his own highly-constructed vision, The French Dispatch is at its best when fragments of honest-to-goodness, imperfect life shine through his perfect compositions. Go to Full Review
Jason Bailey Crooked Marquee 12/28/2021
It's not lightweight, and it's not silly, and there's a moment of genuine pathos at the end of the third story that's quite unlike anything Anderson has ever done. Go to Full Review

Shaun K 03/06/2022 Creatively comedic, and full of mouth-watering cinema. Very aesthetically pleasing and every star played their role. Also loved the newspaper format of the movie and how poetically it speaks to journalists and writers alike. See more WDC 01/01/2022 Self indulgent, lots of star fucking. Love most of Wes Andersons movies, but this one loses the thread. Interminable whats the point? See more Nate 12/19/2021 The movie was a very witty, poignant and sophisticated film. See more ROBERT C 12/15/2021 Wes Anderson has made the MOST BORING movie of 2021. It's unfortunate. We're fans. Beautiful to look at, but for a film that relies on just that, it fails. The script needed to be MUCH better to keep up with the visuals. See more Hollywood navel gazing 12/13/2021 Interesting concept gone horribly wrong See more Vicky D 12/12/2021 Hilarious Brirish humor. Loved it. See more Read all reviews
