If Anderson does sometimes lean too far into his own highly-constructed vision, The French Dispatch is at its best when fragments of honest-to-goodness, imperfect life shine through his perfect compositions.

Creatively comedic, and full of mouth-watering cinema. Very aesthetically pleasing and every star played their role. Also loved the newspaper format of the movie and how poetically it speaks to journalists and writers alike.

Wes Anderson has made the MOST BORING movie of 2021. It's unfortunate. We're fans. Beautiful to look at, but for a film that relies on just that, it fails. The script needed to be MUCH better to keep up with the visuals.
