Pauline Kael The New Yorker [Marguerite Duras's] picture has been thought out with such supple discrimination between the values of sound and image that one could almost say it's perfectly made: an ornery, glimmering achievement. Audience Member Even at a film society screening, I was one of only four people who stayed until the (bitter) end. Does anyone know where the truck is going? Apparently not. The sole friend who liked this film also enjoyed Andy Warhol's film - 3 hours of a blue screen. Somehow 'Le Camion' has stuck with me as some sort of test of stamina under duress: like climbing a mountain on your bare knees and then discovering there is actually no view from the top. I have a suspicion that was the point. Happy folk, those French existentialists. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Read all reviews
