You have to wonder about a writer-director who wishes his characters would just shut up. I thought that was my job! Go to Full Review

Baumbach's ripest and wisest film to date, alert to the fact that so little in life, especially a screwy or a super-ambitious life, is open to resolution. Go to Full Review
Benedict Seal Vague Visages 12/05/2023
Ultimately, the great strengths of The Meyerowitz Stories are the performances. Beyond that, Baumbach's crafted an attractive, gently funny family study, but not one that demands to be seen in a theatre. Go to Full Review

Gab M @Atled Jan 4 I’m still confused by what I watched and not in a good way. I’m not sure I’ve seen a movie that I found so uninteresting. To be fair we stopped half way through the movie as there was still no plot in sight. See more Chimoshi L @Chimoshi6810 Dec 27 If you are not a film critic or a previous fan of the director, I advise you to steer clear of this one. Two hours of 'dialogue' consisting of two utterly unlikable characters monologuing past each other without pause. Felt like being repeatedly hit over the head with a plastic shovel. Seeing the credits start was euphoric. See more Tom B @Tbrodigan Dec 7 Seems way too self-aware, pablum for UMC white people. See more Clare B @Clarejohn Nov 10 This film is in my top 20. Noah understands narcissistic parents like no other auteur. This film captures the pain of the narcissistic parent and their selfishness, victimhood, grandiosity and fragility but mostly the horrific neglect, favoritism and triangulation that destroys sibling relationships. This is a masterpiece. See more thiago s @Thiagostone Sep 23 Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom See more Bri A Aug 14 This movie absolutely sucked. I’d rather watch paint dry. The acting was terrible, the story was worse, and the dad is just a yapper who shows little to no expressiveness. Why people think he’s a good actor is beyond me. I sincerely advise anyone not to watch this movie and to save themselves two hours of life. See more Read all reviews
