One line summary: Fools slaughter each other on a space station.
One star of five; three black holes for acting, screenplay, and SFX.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Terran Special Forces versus Allied Airborne on a space station, whatever that might mean. Humans are being turned into zombies, sort of. These zombies are not weaker; instead, they are quicker, stronger, smarter, and less and less vulnerable to weapons as they get older. The zombie transformation is accomplished by programmed nanobots, not viruses or bacteria or radioactive substances. There are androids as well as humans and zombies.
The protagonist, Helen, is an android who wakes up after a memory wipe. Half an hour in, I've got context, more or less.
Throw in a solar cannon that creates wormholes through time. Right, why not? There's a mission to protect the cannon from the wrong people. Just what the 'real' mission is, is a bit wobbly.
Throw in references to scripture. What scripture? Written by whom?
Just what do these people eat or drink? Where to they get their energy? (No solar panels on the space station, no nuclear generator. Hm.) When did gravity generators get invented? The people walk around on the space station as if it were a building on Earth.
Will the final mission be accomplished, so that scripture will be fulfilled? That seems to be the question.
------Scores------
Cinematography: 7/10 Mostly good, but loaded with bad framing choices.
Sound: 5/10 Poor.
Acting: 0/10 Non-existent.
Screenplay: 0/10 Boring, absurd, almost context free.
SFX: 0/10 Beyond bad. Done by people who have no acquaintance with physics, or just hate it. The CGI is ridiculous for the most part. Blood effects are entirely laughable.

An ultra low budget sci-fi movie that takes place on a space station. Surprisingly, the story is pretty good. I was surprised because at first I thought it was going to be a Resident Evil ripoff, but gradually I realized that only more superficial elements had been lifted from Resident Evil, not the main story.
The first 10 or 15 minutes of the movies follows a naked woman who has amnesia as she explores the space station she woke up in. Sound familiar? This character was obviously inspired by Alice from Resident Evil. Her body is pretty good but in the face she looks like a British soccer mom. Im not complaining, she looked pretty good, but every time I looked at her face I wanted to laugh. She looks like the kind of actress who would be in a movie like Fargo, not playing an Alice type bad ass.
There are "bioweapons" on the station. The crew has been infected with nanobots that have transformed them in some frightening way. These "undead" crewmen are not like the mindless creatures of most zombie movies, at least not all of them. Some of the undead are able to speak clearly.
The special effects in this movie are really terrible. There were creatures running around that I will call runners. The CGI was so bad I couldnt tell what the runners were suppose to be. My first impression was they look like cyborg dinosaurs. They were probably inspired by the lickers from Resident Evil. The runners look like a cross between a licker, a velociraptor, and a robot.
The acting ranges from alright to terrible. I dont want to go into the story, but suffice to say the future of the Earth is at stake. The whole movie takes place on this orbiting space station where the automatic sliding doors look like something off the Satelite of Love or Peewee's Playhouse. During some of the bloodier scenes a special effect is used that kind of, sort of, makes it looks like there is blood on the screen. It looks like a free effect that would be on Window's Movie Maker.
I found out that in Germany this movie was released on DVD under a title that translates as "Blade Runner 2: The Decision." Doesnt that piss you off? That makes me want to slap someone in the face. Anyways I kind of liked the movie.

Total Retribution is not merely a film about zombies in space. There are zombies, yes, and they are in space, but it doesn't simply follow the convention of a zombie horde slowly overtaking living humans. The zombies are a weapon created to prevent the destruction of humanity. It's an interesting revision of an old idea.
The screenplay of this film is creative. There are some stiff lines, but it's an engaging story. There's some mystery to figure out, and the foreshadowing works well. It's entertaining.

possibly the worst movie ever. doesn't even have a plot really. stuff happens for a while... stupid stuff... then its over. I. ant even begin to specifically pick apart everything that is wrong with this wreck. it is a failure even if a 10 year old made it on his big sisters I phone.
