Audience Member I had trouble finding this movie last year but finally got this psychological thriller/horror directed by Elbert van Strien and co-written by him and Paulo van Vliet . My interest was awaken when I heard that Hollywood is making Two Eyes Staring - a remake set to be directed and written by Scott Derrickson and starring Charlize Theron! It is an interesting plot centred on the friendship between a young girl and the ghost of her mother's twin... at least that is what are we led to believe, but there is too many twists to even start explaining. I'll leave it to you if you decide to watch it. Acting wasn't outstanding but it was very good. Barry Atsma was the brightest point but I could not find too many faults in acting of Hadewych Minis, Isabelle Stokkel, Charlotte Arnoldy and Bart Slegers... they were just not as believable as the first mentioned. Zwart water plays a game with semblance and reality. Until the end we are finding new facts emerging but are usually negated by a family member's story. It was enough to keep the interest going, and against the background of the desolate country estate giving enough chills to expect the worst. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member what a drag. dont get me even started on the sound effects... its not scary, just unnecessarily loud. tries to be disturbing but completely fails. supposedly haunted houses, family secrets, little girls with their imaginary friends....wake me up when it ends. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Film de fantômes se dà (C)roulant en Flandre, ça passe sans plus. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member meh... a twist on top of a twist on top of a clichà (C). It has a great mood, but it didn't do it for me. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member def. not ur typical hollywood-style horror film.. in fear of giving away spoilers, i'll just say it is a slow 2hr movie, but not boring nor lagging.. beautiful cinematography and compelling shots, and nice twist at the end!! and the main girl gives a fantastic performance!!
