Stan Smith is a CIA agent painfully dedicated to homeland security. His home life includes doting wife Francine, a ditzy housewife, liberal daughter Hayley and socially awkward teenaged son Steve. Also living in the family's Langley Falls, Va., home are Klaus, a goldfish with the brain of an East German Olympic ski jumper, and Roger, an escaped alien from Area 51, who Stan houses in defiance of his employer due to owing Roger a "life debt." Sounds just like the typical American family, right? Maybe not.

Mark Oakley Den of Geek ...simply OK and not especially funny. When you know how high the standards can be, it's desperately disappointing. Oct 3, 2018 Full Review James Musgrove IGN Movies As it stands though, I only laughed half the time. They were hearty laughs, but failed to offset the other hours of squirming in my seat and the silence and blank expression on my face. Rated: 5/10 Oct 3, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

Ryan M American Dad season 3 continues the adventures with Stan, Francine, Hayley, Roger, Klaus, Jeff, Debbie, Snot, Toshi and Barry. Hayley decides to bring spring break to the Smith House. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/18/24 Full Review David W American Dad's third season continues to offer the sitcom humor viewers have come to expect from the show. I would definitely watch this season again. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/02/23 Full Review Audience Member A few gems, but each season seems to lose a little of it's class and focus on the more vulgar side of the show. The dead animal jokes are never funny, and this show uses them liberally. It all depends on whether the premise for each episode grabs you. If it does, you will enjoy yourself, if it doesn't it will be painfully unfunny. Seems to by about 50/50 at this point. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member With more memorable episodes, funnier gags and writing that fully finishes its beard-growing by this point, American Dad!'s third season just might be the best one yet. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Shows best season yet. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Not a fan of this show at all!
