      Season 4 – American Dad!

      2008 Comedy Animation List
Reviews 95% 50+ Ratings Audience Score Stan Smith is a CIA agent painfully dedicated to homeland security. His home life includes doting wife Francine, a ditzy housewife, liberal daughter Hayley and socially awkward teenaged son Steve. Also living in the family's Langley Falls, Va., home are Klaus, a goldfish with the brain of an East German Olympic ski jumper, and Roger, an escaped alien from Area 51, who Stan houses in defiance of his employer due to owing Roger a "life debt." Sounds just like the typical American family, right? Maybe not. Read More Read Less Watch on Fandango at Home Premiered Sep 29 Buy Now

Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/18/24 Full Review David W American Dad's fourth season offers the familiar, biting humor that Seth MacFarlane is known for. I would definitely revisit this season again. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/04/23 Full Review joey v One of the more underrated adult cartoons especially compared to the Simpson's and Family Guy which is shocking there are some seriously hilarious moments that will make anyone laugh Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Just as good as Season 3, if not better, American Dad! finally 100% escapes from Family Guy's shadow with great voice acting, episodes that decide to experiment a bit with the show's formula (hint: it's the "Tearjerker" episode) and better gags with characters that might have been cringy in earlier episodes being...slightly less cringy making the fourth season the season that's a must-have for your DVD collection of Seth MacFarlane shows. Dan Phillips IGN Movies The show always seems far too eager to ape Family Guy rather than dig deeper for a unique entry point into the world of nihilistic shock comedy. Oct 8, 2018 Full Review Mark Oakley Den of Geek Fortunately, the writers get their act together by the time series four comes around. Oct 3, 2018 Full Review Hunter Daniels Collider American Dad was designed to replace Family Guy. But it was also made with the lessons that McFarlane learned from his first show's limitations. But, the second show often tries to act like the first, and it falls apart. Oct 3, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews
