Undiscovered talent of all ages -- singers, dancers, magicians, comics, musicians, ventriloquists and more -- appear before celebrity judges who decide which contestants move on in the competition each week. With the guidance of the show's host, the audience learns the backstories of these amazing people as they strive to make it to the finale, where one talented performer wins a life-changing $1 million prize. A select few join the most memorable and extraordinary acts from previous years, along with favorite contestants from other international Got Talent franchises, and return to the stage to show off their talents in hopes of impressing the judges' panel once again and taking home the title of America's "World Champion."

Troy Patterson Slate On the evidence, America does not got talent. It does, however, got a ton of America, and that's why the show's a hit. Feb 5, 2020 Full Review Brian Lowry Variety Could be a modest little summer hit, continuing in the vein of cheerfully stupid unscripted fare into which NBC tapped with the no-skill-required gameshow "Deal or No Deal." Feb 4, 2020 Full Review Michael Hewitt Orange County Register It starts with a decent concept: What would you get if you crossed American Idol with The Gong Show? Yet somehow this completely misses the charm of either parent. Feb 5, 2020 Full Review Lucy Maher Common Sense Media It often feels like a high-school talent show. But it has also evolved into a venue that allows for truly creative, inspirational performers that don't fit into conventional entertainment venues to shine. Rated: 4/5 Jan 30, 2020 Full Review Tom Gliatto People Magazine The show is expertly put together by American Idol impresario Simon Cowell, among others. Judge David Hasselhoff, not a phrase I ever thought I'd use, vibrates at the same blurty frequency as Paula Abdul. Jan 30, 2020 Full Review Read all reviews
