The man behind the acclaimed HBO series "Summer Heights High" returns to the network to explore what it means to be a 21st-century male. In "Angry Boys," creator and writer Chris Lilley uses his chameleonlike talents to star as the mock-documentary's six main characters: identical teenage twins Daniel and Nathan Sims, who live in south Australia; the twins' no-nonsense grandmother, Ruth, aka "Gran"; Los Angeles rapper S.mouse; soft-spoken Japanese mother Jen Okazaki, who manages her son's skateboarding career; and former world champion surfer Blake Oakfield. The edgy comedy series looks at the lives, dreams and aspirations of average boys and men as they encounter daily struggles to satisfy obligations to family and friends. Lilley, a native of Sydney, Australia, first introduced the characters of Daniel and Nathan in the 2005 miniseries "We Can Be Heroes."
