Boyd Pritchett, a "good old boy" from Virginia, takes his sister to a snooty Boston college, then decides to stick around when he meets a Boston girl -- much to his sister's dismay. He takes a job at the student union, where his easygoing ways clash with those who have proper Boston manners.

Howard Rosenberg Los Angeles Times [Anthony] Clark is occasionally witty as the softer-resonating Boyd. But every time the screechy Wyleen [Pritchett] opens her mouth, you wish you had a couple of cream pies to throw. One at her, the other at the writers of this crock. Jul 17, 2019 Full Review Tony Scott Variety Couple of good chuckles do not a sitcom make, but the creators have set up an impressively loony-yet-possible Randolph Harrington College in Boston. Jul 17, 2019 Full Review Steve Johnson Chicago Tribune [Anthony] Clark's willful ignorance is amusing and ultimately winning, but [Hedy] Burress' over-the-top energy is tedious in a premiere that too readily casts aside reality for the sake of a mediocre joke. Jul 17, 2019 Full Review Scott D. Pierce Deseret News (Salt Lake City) Boston Common has one thing going for it -- Anthony Clark. And he's enough. Due in large part to the star's considerable talents, Boston is one very likeable, funny new sitcom. Jul 17, 2019 Full Review Elaine Showalter People Magazine These Beacon Hillbillies should flunk out fast. Rated: D Jul 17, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews
