Ashley Bissette Sumerel Tell-Tale TV It’s an action-packed beginning, and it’s the kind of opener that leaves you a bit breathless. Unfortunately, it’s also yet another instance of Chicago Fire resolving a cliffhanger way too quickly. Rated: 3.5/5 Sep 22, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/29/23 Full Review KdD 7 BEST SEASON YET! CHICAGO SERIES OF SHOWS ARE MY MUST SEE TV DVD EVERY SHOW TO BINGE WATCH! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/17/23 Full Review tracy d I'm a show-long fan of CF. I've laughed, I've cried, I've loved this show every season. Starting last season the show started feeling very sloppy; more so than the tired trope of interdepartmental scuffles within the CFD. They're shoving storylines that are contradicted by the show itself. The show has always had relationships within their own crew, but one of the biggest storylines in season 10 was a main character having a relationship with her boss. Season 11 episode 1 opened with one of the laziest scenes I've ever watched on CF and the feeling continued throughout the episode with the cast doing their best to make the poor script connect to the audience. Overall I'll keep watching to see how this show ends, but episode after episode I'm scratching my head at the lazy writing that is thankfully masked by a fantastic cast of actors.
