J N Cash grabs like this pray on the gullible nature and the idiocy of the American populace. It's a show. Right up until the end of the first. Scripted for all of the knuckle dragging troglodytes, lumbering amongst us. Americans turn everything into a circus. They did it to politics, now they've done it to boxing and MMA. Here’s my prediction for how a fight like this would go down. If it happens at all, and my observations thus far: 1. The Hype Machine: Promotions will continue to build this as a generational clash. Social media would explode with a relentless stream of training clips, trash-talking, and cross-generational banter. The narrative would probably lean heavily into Tyson’s intimidating legacy versus Paul’s "underdog" storyline, casting Jake as the "brave young gun" facing a monster. It’s all designed to hook viewers emotionally—those who love Jake Paul’s antics and those who can't wait to see him beaten. 2. Scripted Drama: Whether it's fully scripted on Netflix or not, the buildup would certainly includes staged confrontations, ridiculous press events, and mock hostility, which keeps audiences on edge. They’ll continue to find a way to dramatize any injury scares, conditioning issues, or psychological games to build tension. 3. The Fight Itself: The fight likely stays in safe territory, maybe a few rounds of play for the cameras. Tyson’s age and conditioning would be the excuse to keep things short. It would probably be designed to look competitive at first—either by Tyson "taking it easy" or by allowing Paul to show he’s hanging in there, enough to make the crowd wonder if an upset could happen. A "planned knockout" moment would fit the narrative, perhaps with Tyson landing a "clean" shot to remind everyone of his power, or an early stoppage that stirs debate. 4. Post-Fight Circus: Regardless of who "wins", the media will milk every angle for weeks. If Jake Paul survives a few rounds, it’ll be all about how "he went toe-to-toe with one of the greatest." If Tyson scores a win, they’ll praise his power and cement his legend further. Ultimately, like many recent boxing spectacles, the main outcome would be more about social media and sponsorship success than actual boxing prowess. It’s about keeping people tuned in, invested, and buying the next fight. It’s not about the purity of the sport but the spectacle. The best way to win in that arena is to recognize it for what it is and, if you're a fan of boxing, find matches where the actual sport still shines through.
