Gareth v The story is solid enough, but there is something in it's telling that let's this show down. Could of been so much better. For the most part it is similar in the sense it shows the lives they had before the heist, it showed the heist, and then it showed the repercussions of the heist. What this show excelled at was simultaneously giving us information from all the timelines all at once, to see it all unfold in the present based on everything that went down in the past. There were background stories and intros for each character, as well as depth on how they fit in with the crew. The show was great, the plot was coherent and the actions that everyone took were all calculated and made sense. The twists were all fun and interesting and not ridiculous like in some shows. The first episode really hooked me, with Joe clearly living a double life, digging up a huge some of money, then getting in a car accident, then it not being there, and everything it took in him getting it back. Each storyline kept me locked in, from the heist to them being hunted down, the threats all seemed very real. The villians all were very evil and the seemed exactly like what the underground crime world of london was like. Very bingeable, I watched it in a few days and loved it, every episode kept me wanting to watch another as the story unfolded. There is alot of action in this crime thriller, the story is great and the heist feels very real, worth the watch. SYNOPSIS: 'After a heist, the crew have gone their separate ways, but now, they are being targeted by a killer one-by-one.' 'Culprits' is a stylish crime thriller that jumps around between the past and present revealing more and more each episode. As the series progresses we learn about the principle cast, their faults and their motivations. It's also very bloody at times, maybe with some sneaky horror elements thrown in for good measure. 'Culprits' is able to successfully combine the heist genre with action set pieces and a murder mystery. Also, it stars the gorgeous Gemma Arterton which is a massive bonus. Lead actor Stewart-Jarret is exceptional here and I look forward to seeing him in other works. A great watch.
