Executive produced by Lorne Michaels and "Saturday Night Live" alumnus Jason Sudeikis, "Detroiters" stars best friends and Detroit natives Sam Richardson and Tim Robinson as fledgling ad men in the Motor City. Lacking the resources to challenge the money, connections and talent of big corporations, the guys rely on relentless ambition to build a local advertising empire. And no matter what happens, Tim and Sam's love for each other and their city never wavers. Richardson is best known for his role on "Veep," while Robinson is a former "SNL" cast member-turned-writer on the show.

Tara Ariano Slate On top of being hilarious, the show's central duo was touchingly pure. Apr 21, 2021 Full Review Carmen Phillips Autostraddle Detroiters is a goofy, eccentric, heartfelt love letter its namesake city. Jul 9, 2018 Full Review Allison Keene Collider Tim and Sam's friendship on and offscreen remains aspirational, as the joyful duo return with more of their sharp and sincere comedy that we desperately need. Rated: 5/5 Jun 28, 2018 Full Review Sean L. McCarthy Decider The comedy is clearly a love letter to Detroit, and their list of guest stars in the two seasons includes plenty of local celebrities and athletes alike... Oct 20, 2024 Full Review Seth Simons Paste Magazine In Detroiters, silliness is not a way of accenting seriousness; it is a triumph over seriousness, a bold and brightly colored affirmation that yes, actually, life is pretty funny. Rated: 9/10 Dec 20, 2018 Full Review Garrett Martin Paste Magazine It's a very confident show, relaxed and unhurried and utterly aware of what it's trying to say and why, and that makes it not just funny but also a legitimately great TV program. kenny s I can't believe it took me so long to find this show. I love I Think You Should Leave, and now I love Detroiters. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/07/25 Full Review Peter K Even more fun than Season 1 -- it requires a lot of talent to keep this comedy from losing its way. Great series to watch if you are suffering from post-Holiday blues! Also saw parts of Detroit that I've never seen before. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/04/25 Full Review Eamon O Bring back De2roiters! Can’t believe this amazing show does not have a third season. So many epic one liners that my wife and friends constantly use in our day to day. A buddy comedy about two guys who run an ad agency. Go watch it, it’s epic. I only heard about it after they cancelled it just to show how ineffective the advertising for the show was. I’m subscribed to every streaming platform for reference. If I had enough money I’d produce this myself and pay to bring it back. What is wrong with so many amazing shows not getting renewed. If you get them to the right audience they will get the views/ratings necessary to continue. I’ll be rewatching and buying it. Much love to all the folks involved in this awesome show. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/14/24 Full Review sugar d This show is absolutely perfect in every way. The comedian timing of this duo is absolute perfection. It's absurdist, goofy, clever, and one of a kind. The 2nd season is actually more hilarious than the first. I feel like the main characters really get into the groove of things and take it to the next level. It's really upsetting this didn't get renewed for additional seasons because it's one of the best comedy shoes I've ever seen. Unfortunately these insanely hilarious and original shows always seem to get canceled after very few seasons. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/05/23 Full Review Benjamin L BRING BACK DETROITERS. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member It took a couple of episodes to like the characters but I'm glad I gave it a chance. Pretty funny. If you are from the Detroit area...I guarantee they hook you in. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
