Doona! deftly navigates the complexities of grief and, though wrapped in K-drama clichés, is surprisingly human. Go to Full Review

While not entirely predictable, the series also moves at a painfully slow pace. Go to Full Review

No one intervened when Doo-na was having a breakdown. To give her time to rest would mean losing money on their investment. "Doona!" tackles some of the "dark side of K-pop" storylines while showcasing the talents of its star Bae Suzy. Go to Full Review

Doona! looks the business, with hazy visuals and atmospheric lighting blanketing each frame, but it’s superficial to a fault. As with any successful romance, perhaps what this show needed was a bit more confidence. Go to Full Review

Doona! is a pretty standard romantic K-drama in a lot of ways, but the added dynamic of a regular guy and a depressed K-pop star falling for each other makes things just a little more interesting. Go to Full Review

Sometimes, a happy ending doesn’t look like you would expect. Sometimes, a happy ending is just thriving on your own and protecting your love for someone in your heart like a scrapbook. Doona! understands this intimately... Go to Full Review

See more Junie E @RT05445311 Aug 27 Why would they build such a lovable character like Jin-ju with a painful backstory just for her to be a side character? Doona on the other hand just acts spoiled and walks around in revealing clothes (for Korean standards) to seek attention, and she got it. Stupid plot. Vale apena assistir? Se não tiver outra alternativa. Nota: 4 See more Kierra R @RT58117324 03/27/2024 Loved everything! except the ending, it was disappointing. I felt like there was a lead up but it was dropped like a sack of bricks, almost like you’re about to sneeze and it goes away. Could’ve been perfect! See more rc- g @RT20226060 12/18/2023 I think this drama was quite captivating. Although there were many holes and skip-arounds, there was some outstanding acting. Primarily Bae Suzy. Yang Se-jong was a rational match for Doona as a counterweight to her problematic life. I know many might not agree with this, but there is a light to view her performance as Oscar worthy. She brought the many sides of a very complicated character together quite well. It seems inconsistent at first, until you consider almost all of her "experiences" were via the K-Pop agency from the age of 10-12, and fatherless upbringing. So her development was choppy to say the least. Miss Bae did an excellent job with the script at hand. The series wasn't a 10 for me primarily because of the script, and to many side stories that weren't essential to the story, and too much jumping around in the timeline. The cast overall did very well and camera work, etc. was also well done, with a few OOPs here and there - ex, a scene starts at night, but ends a few minutes later in daylight for example, but not really that noticeable. Overall ~9.3/10 for me. Too bad there will not likely be a season 2. Maybe a closing episode or 2 would offer some comfort to the questions many had at the end. ??
