Mike P Both seasons have the same problem here ...This Columbo type formula where we know who the killer is, but it's just a cat fight to see her outsmart the other guy; and get him to admit his guilt; that is too low key, and too predictable! It doesn't work! I know they think they're being clever by eschewing the whodunit formula; but there's a reason everyone follows that formula; IT WORKS. This other formula they're doing DOESN'T WORK VERY WELL. Which is a shame because Carrie Preston is amazing and deserves better. However, I've never liked the idea of the case ALWAYS being solved (I'm 5 eps in and it's all the same). Not too many shows have a lead crime fighter with a 100% solve rate but Elsbeth is that one that can figure it ALL out. Her missing the 3 pointer on a few eps wouldn't hurt the show IMO...
