A sign of the apocalypse has begun. Reports of a rapidly changing world for unknown reasons underscore this gritty drama, a prequel to AMC's uber-popular "Walking Dead." The story is told through the lens of high school guidance counselor Madison Clark. The widowed mother is raising two children single-handedly and maintains a relationship with English teacher Travis Manawa, her apocalyptic partner. The challenge of blending their families is exacerbated by unforeseen chaos, and a necessary survival of the fittest takes hold.

Up to and including season 5 this was very watchable, but I can’t observe any more of the ridiculous emergence of Victor Strand as a ‘badass’ dictator, his performance is totally unwatchable, alienating and cringeworthy. All down hill since John Dory got shot, can’t blame the Garret Dillahunt for wanting to disembark this sinking ship.

OMG! I realize that nothing can top the original TWD, and for a while it kept my attention, but then it all went south. Season 7 was abysmal! Story lines were just too unbelievable. Teddy was a bore, Victor was positively obnoxious. The only reason I kept watching it, (other than hoping it would get better), was Morgan Jones; he saved whatever might have been enjoyable. I never thought I would get tired of walkers getting killed but I did with this show. I wish Angela Yang was part of FTWD, as she would never have let this show go to hell.

The nuclear warhead thing was just way too much. Already a depressing landscape to be in and add that? And like others have said, huge plot holes. Victor is suddenly an army warlord commander in dress and action- it is pretty ridiculous. Somehow new characters seem to pop up even in the nuclear wasteland. I still keep watching because this show knows how to engage the viewer with the characters. Except Alicia. In episode 15 she just annoyed the heck out of me. Going back to the towers multiple times, just being so annoying. The martyrdom in this series is off the charts obnoxious.
