Four women to every one man are great odds when you're a single guy out on the town but not ideal when it comes to your living situation. Freddie Moreno is a young, successful chef at a trendy Chicago restaurant who lives in a stylish bachelor pad. That is until it is invaded by female relatives -- his sister-in-law, sister (complete with teenaged daughter) and grandmother. Freddie loved growing up in a house full of women, but now he's finally realizing why his father used to lock himself in the bathroom for some peace and quiet.

What to Know

Critics Consensus

Charmless and sophomoric, Freddie saddles the likable Prinze Jr. with an unpleasant persona while giving its ensemble of actresses little to do.

Robert Lloyd Los Angeles Times For the most part, the show's mix of family comedy and sex romp is fairly successful. Sep 9, 2019 Full Review Austin Smith New York Post This guy has a great personality. Building a likable sitcom around him ought to be a no-brainer. So why haven't they done it? Rated: 2/4 Sep 9, 2019 Full Review Robert Bianco USA Today The big problem is Prinze himself, an actor whose work has shown much charm but not much range. Here, even the charm is missing as he dwells on every joke and gesture. Rated: 2/4 Sep 9, 2019 Full Review Roger Catlin Hartford Courant There's little to recommend in Freddie. Sep 9, 2019 Full Review Tom Jicha South Florida Sun-Sentinel Juvenile sexual innuendo might have worked occasionally 30 years ago, but derivative series like Freddie are the reason the sitcom form is in a slump today. Sep 9, 2019 Full Review Jill Murphy Common Sense Media If parents or adults decide to tune in, they're likely to be disappointed by the dumb jokes and tired clichés. Bottom line: There are so many better ways to spend a free half hour. Rated: 1/5 Sep 9, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews
