John Simm is absolutely wasted in this tedious , dull and formulaic cop series that lacks everything a winning cop series needs . Such a series is the magnificent BBC ‘ Blue Lights ‘ that is well acted , well written and equally important, has the tension and jeopardy that are the essential ingredients for a show or series such as this . Having read the books that this series is based on I am not surprised these series of Grace have turned out to be turkey’s. He is a poor writer and he writes low quality crime novels that unfortunately have been used to make these poor quality detective shows. However, there's something about the first three episodes of season 4 that has left me a bit cold. I started watching season 4 with high expectations but it just has not lived up to the quality of the previous three seasons.... The plots seem a bit ridiculous and some of the dialogue leaves a bit to be desired! What a shame.... I hope the final episode of the season 4 lifts my spirits!
