I found it very entertaining and engaging, the locations used in the show were incredible and beautiful! It's really well written, acted, and filmed. My only critique would be that there are moments that are quite unrealistic. For example: an employee working in a super secure facility that's already paranoid about security would NOT have her username and password for the super-secure computer network on a business card sitting on her desk where anyone could see it... Another nagging thing is; NSA is military intelligence yet everyone at NSA in the show is apparently civilians?? And why does NSA need people overseas working out of apartments? (that would never happen IRL) It would have made more sense if it were about CIA or some other fictitious agency. If you can overlook these minor flaws, you will find the show very entertaining. I hope they clean things up a bit in Season 2, this show has a lot of potential and I'll definitely continue watching it.

I like the math. I have a PhD in Information Technology. I have studied a lot of math and cryptography, and I do understand prime numbers and their role modern Information Systems. But the writers of this show don't, while they are indeed intrigued. They clearly don't understand that all systems don't explicitly rely on prime numbers, in fact, most don't. If you wanted to call this science fiction, there is too little science in it, and too much basic vanilla spy stuff and evil governments and such. Still, I enjoyed it, but it has SO much more potential. If there is a season 2, they should add more math. And those formulas Ed keeps writing on boards, have nothing to do with prime numbers.

Great acting. Interesting plots. Not sure where it's getting all this hate from. Apple - thanks for always producing quality over quantity.

Where should I start?
I’ll begin by saying that this series was the reason I wanted to create an account on Rotten Tomatoes. They had a very good idea. The idea that numbers are everything was intriguing, and the first episode was good. But after that, everything went to hell.
The worst part? The writers. It feels like they’ve never seen a good spy movie—or even worse, they don't live in the outside world. Did they even consult mathematicians to check if the script had any logical foundation? In the next few years, we’ll have quantum computers. If the NSA wanted to track someone and prevent them from creating something dangerous, they would be the target—not some random rogue mathematician. But okay, it’s fiction, and I can accept a certain level of artistic liberty up to a point.
Then came the episode in Kaplar company, and it was so stupid that I genuinely thought I was having a stroke. At that point, I have to say that I had made it to episode six, but the tunnel episode finally broke me—I had seen enough.
Of course, clichés are inevitable in movies and TV shows. No series is perfect. But I am so tired of the same old, lazy clichés—like the half-naked woman wandering into a basement only to be killed. That kind of level clichés we have in that episode.
And then there’s the casting. Mr. Woodall tries, but he simply doesn’t convince me as a genius. McKenna Grace in Gifted was far more believable and she was 6. As for Swindell—I'm sorry, but I think their connection to acting is about as mine is to performing surgery.
I don’t mind watching silly movies like Austin Powers—they’re stupid, but they know they’re stupid. This series, however, wanted to be serious, but it failed. I understand that everyone needs to put food on the table, and work is work, but at least read your script out loud. Go outside. Talk to people. Read books. Watch movies. and then sit down and write. Most importantly, show that you respect your audience, the people who will spend their time watching your creation. Clearly, you didn’t.
