LISTEN CAREFULLY TO ONLY THIS REVIEW... "MARIANNE" IS SIMPLY PUT.. ONE OF THE BEST HORROR TELEVISION SERIES EVER MADE! While it's true you can find theatrical motion pictures throughout the decades that can compete with or are superior to MARIANNE... you CANNOT find another horror TV Series that is better than MARIANNE. The Acting, Direction, Cinematography, Editing, Soundtrack, Locations, and Story are ALL THEATRICAL FILM QUALITY. You simply never see a tv series this stylishly made. Watching MARIANNE you realize early on that the creators are extremely familiar with some of the greatest cult horror movies in cinema history. Images from movies like : THE EXORCIST, THE EXORCIST III, SINISTER, HEREDITARY, THE DARK HALF, MISERY, IT, THE SENTINEL, THE WITCH, EVIL DEAD, THE ANTICHRIST, and The Original A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET all appear in segments of MARIANNE, and when you take from the Best, YOU CAN'T GO WRONG. One can only wonder if the show had been better advertised and promoted if more viewers would have discovered it. How thrilling another season would have been. As it is, just watch it like you'd watch an 8 Hour Horror Movie and you're Not likely to forget it anytime soon.

Awesome. Very absorbing, linking numerous classic horror threads and themes. Very enjoyable and some what scary.

Look, it’s good but not brilliant. Starts off well, dips a bit in the middle. A lot of genre tropes, and myself and partner were literally predicting the scares as they happened. Good special effects, bad dialogue and cheesy cliche characters, scary and corny in parts. Struggled to finish it.

Years later and I’m still so furious this show was cancelled. Really, really well done- whip smart, funny, stylish touching, unsettling and truly scary. What I wouldn’t give for someone/anyone to give this show the season 2 it so richly deserves.
