Emily St. James AV Club TV is at its best when it emotionally connects, and even when it seems to be otherwise merrily hurtling off a cliff, Grey's Anatomy is nothing but emotional connection, which is more than other, more consistently better shows can say. Mar 17, 2020 Full Review Sarah Fonseca Autostraddle This is so much more than a breakdown: it's a breakthrough for queer characters on network television. Nov 3, 2018 Full Review Rob Salem Toronto Star All in all,... a solid return to form. Sep 28, 2012 Full Review Jocelyn W TV Equals I found myself even more in love with Owen (didn't think that was possible) and more frustrated with Christina. If you've gone through a traumatic event, of course Owen would be the person you'd want at your side. Mar 17, 2020 Full Review Brad Williams What Culture Grey's Anatomy has developed into a fine example of how a TV show can mature beyond its initial purpose. Oct 19, 2012 Full Review Courtney Morrison TV Fanatic Grey's Anatomy always knows how to bring the drama and they did not fail in the Season 9 premiere. Max Paulo Parabéns a todas as escritoras desta série, por depois de 3 temporadas ruins fazer uma tão boa que supera todos as temporadas de Manifest. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/27/23 Full Review Audience Member Enredo muito bom, emoções mistas, boa prestação dos atores... Só acho que faltou um pouco de ênfase em relação aos pacientes e aos pequenos elementos que fazem do hospital um lugar onde tudo pode acontecer. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Shanda Rhimes, writer/director/producer extraordinaire, possesses an ability to introduce a character that has little significance to a story, and weave them into an intricate part of the emotion balance of the narrative. Rhimes exercises this skill quite frequently in the renowned ABC show, Greys Anatomy. This medical based drama with comedic and suspenseful undertones is a 14-season long journey of love, hate, turmoil, terror, growth, and success that leaves you more drawn into the world of Seattle Grace Hospital than you ever thought possible. Throughout the entire length of the series, creator Rhimes repeatedly makes you fall in love with characters who you thought you would hate forever. One of the finest examples of this is in the final episodes of season 8, as the back-stabbing, wife-stealing, airheaded manwhore Mark Sloan reveals his true feelings for his love interest and shows the tenderness of his heart as he takes his final breaths. Do not turn down this show because of your fear of medical gore before considering the reward of seeing such relatable hardships be overcome by the Seattle Grace/Mercy West clan. Somehow this show, riddled with heartfelt healing stories, never grows cold even though it’s story has been continued for years. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review dave d With great trepidation, I delved into season nine of Grey's Anatomy and it was a really good decision. You still have some writers who need to get laid, but the characters begin to take on a real flavor as opposed to the cartoon of seasons past. While it's empty calorie fun with some tears it's still a decent enough show to watch on a cold winters' night. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member It is undeniable that Grey's Anatomy: Season 9 has its high points, but it isn't interesting or flawlessly emotional as it used to be.
