Brad Newsome Sydney Morning Herald The brand-new season is here, and Grey's is still packing in the drama and romance like so many metres of surgical gauze. Nov 3, 2021 Full Review Ashley Bissette Sumerel Tell-Tale TV While [the premiere] isn't all sunshine and roses, it does strike a lighter, more positive tone that feels a little more like the Grey's Anatomy we used to know. Jake L Really weird feeling throughout the whole season. Amilia new relationship feels forced and not at all refreshing. The screen time feels very racially segregated. Overall this season is more about pushing agendas than continuing the story Rated 2 out of 5 stars 04/26/25 Full Review Audience Member I just don't care about any of them any more. The relationships are boring even the sex is a yawn . Amelia's refusing to marry Link after spending the pandemic together raising all the kids was just bogus. And now she's in love in new progressive relationship. Sorry this was such Hollywood theater. We already had an authentic lesbian couple and they were fun and interesting. Amelia is just a whiner. Meredith is a dull polly perfect. No flaws means no interest. The storylines just go flat. it's not believable or intriguing. And the whole Linc and Jo thing could have been sweet as they are a couple of characters I actually care about but the phony just friends and not talking about it is a waste of time. Hunt's big reveal and Cormac's leaving ? Also a yawn. And the big confrontation between the other Polly Perfect and Ellis Gray was just blah. In fact this episode (12) was 100% boring and might just be the last one I watch. It was that bad Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Guy-Maxime C Loved greys anatomy for years!! This season was the worst I couldn't finished the second episode! All about covid because we dont have enough to be living it in real life… everything was exaggerated and sucked bad Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/18/21 Full Review Audience Member This is the WORST SEASON of Greys yet. So boring, and the season doesn't make any sense. There's a random guy literally no one knows, check instagram or twitter and you will see, everyone is confused. At first he looks like Jo's dead husband but in actuality it's not him and it's a completely random person who has been on one episode. The show was hyped up for the premiere supposedly having a 'big return' but this is the WORST return IN TV HISTORY. So disappointed. Meredith is supposedly getting 'The Grey Center' at another hospital when she has her own...with her name on it. Makes NO SENSE because Meredith had Derek blacklisted from the FDA and couldnt even fully work on Bailey's. The new 'mom and daughter' interns are a horrible representation of what it's actually like to work in the medical field with someone you're related to, especially during a pandemic. The writers had Meredith go with this new guy instead of getting together with Hayes who is supposed to be the interracial parent of the show. Honestly this show, the writers, and Krista Vernoff (The person resbonsible for the fantasy land that is now Grey's Anatomy) are all a disgrace. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member What happened, this is such a disappointing greys anatomy season!?!?? Meredith is walking around like some godfather creature without pushing the storyline forward at all. And sorry I've seen the episodes over and over like at least 5 times now and Merediths new love interest completely slipped me by. Is he that interesting? Is he that good looking? And is he really someone Meredith would go for? Completely deattached, childless and doing surgery until he faints and almost dies....! This is not Meredith season 1. Feels like her whole character evolvement the past 5 seasons were deleted with pushing this guy (possibly a stalker, why is he everywhere?) into her pathway. Joey is some sort of dumb blond who is literally finding strawberries in women's pooches. Is this a joke on every accomplished woman out there - anyone who wants a career and a child should just hang themselves now. Amelia, though a super cool genius surgeon on her own Is also jumping the gun on this research project though it's sounding totally dodgy, dodgy in a freakin Macchiarini manner. Wtf is with the rush? That project is definitely going Frankenstein to hell. And what about Dr. Hamilton who oozes with equal vibes of #metoo and or unbelievable ferry god mother vibes. Why wouldn't Meredith and Amelia be able to take their multimillion fortunes and just build their own lab??? I thought Greys was a research hospital, why wouldn't they just find funding for their own research???? There's not just funding for one hospital and one disease at the time. This is starting out as such a complete backlash to what this whole tv series is all about. If the question Meredith ask herself In episode 2 not amount to some sort of elevated white rich privilege shit I don't know what to say: should curing Parkinson really be my first project after nearly dying from covid... Wtf dude, I don't know, maybe you should actually start a poor peoples program like you were about to when you did your penalty or maybe you should just continue research in the field where you are already fucking trailblazing! No, almost 1 million dead in the US alone, you will not really ever be a substitute or bandaid on that. Going back to nuro????? Wtf I thought we and Christina already had this chat with Meredith, you are your fucking own person and you don't have to rearrange your life after your late mom's or late Mc dreamy's life goals. Be your own person!!!! This is not an episode of a happier Diana in the Crown! Let go of the heritage fuzz. One generation is not a legacy not even in such a young country as the US. To follow your own dreams while helping others is still a good cause, maybe even better, how will you get yourself through long shifts and experiments 24.7 if you are not personally motivated??? And the interns... can we talk about them... why are they being filmed like they are cartoons or spoiled brats? Why have they no personalities anymore? Only sassy one liners.
