Heather Hogan Autostraddle As always, deeply irreverent humor is mixed perfectly with action, meta pop culture whimsy, and bisexual swoons. Feb 10, 2023 Full Review Craig Mathieson The Age (Australia) It gets to poke fun at the day’s traditions, but it also genuinely explores the complexities of the pair’s chaotic bond. There’s cynicism and raunch, but also commitment. Rated: 3.5/5 Feb 10, 2023 Full Review Melanie McFarland Salon.com This one-shot bridge affirms [Harley and Ivy] by tossing everything they and their stans desire from this Hallmark holiday into a blender and dumping out a gloriously messy yet spectacular dessert. Feb 10, 2023 Full Review Alison Lanier Pajiba As always, the show lands on its feet with a wholesome-ish message about not holding yourself to absurd and toxic standards, prioritizing the emotional growth of its characters and their relationships with each other and themselves. Awwww. Feb 22, 2023 Full Review Rendy Jones Xtra Magazine Delivers some great laughs, and a bizarre yet sex-positive plot and betters the sweet-natured dynamic between Harley and Ivy. Feb 14, 2023 Full Review Jonathan Garcia Dynamic Duel Podcast More of a season 3 bonus episode than a satisfying, stand-alone special, it still boasts the laugh-out-loud and heartfelt moments signature to the series. Esra Y Pure crack from beginning to end. This show is take on Bane only gets more hilarious. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/07/25 Full Review Jarred D The show has become a chore to watch at this point. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/15/25 Full Review matthias s "Harley and Ivy's Valentine's Day Special" is a wild ride through the twisted and tumultuous world of Gotham's favorite antiheroes. This problematic yet entertaining Valentine's Day extravaganza captures the essence of chaos in love. Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy take center stage in their inaugural celebration of love, delivering a mix of heartwarming moments and uproarious mishaps. The ragtag crew joins the festivities, each member contributing their own unique flair to the chaotic romance unfolding. From bane doing a bdsm session to Clayface's date going wrong, every subplot adds layers to the hilarity. Despite its problematic nature, the special doesn't shy away from exploring the complexities of relationships in Gotham's underworld. The chemistry between Harley and Ivy is palpable, and the unpredictable twists keep the audience on their toes. The animation is vibrant, the humor is sharp, and the character dynamics are as unpredictable as a Joker scheme. While it may not be your typical Valentine's Day love story, this special earns its four stars for embracing the chaos and delivering a refreshingly unconventional take on romance in the world of Harley and her eccentric gang. Love may be messy, but in Gotham, it's downright explosive. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/16/24 Full Review D S Because they won't let me rate the show in general i will do it like this. Harley Quinn as a character is AWESOME. But they had to make EVERYONE gay, nonbinary etc. And every male character is a wimp. Batman is justice, if batman was a man or women would not matter. He would not go down for fraud or tax evasion. He could be framed. but would clear his name. This is some toxic woke insecurity that can't handle a strong man. Out of fear it would overshadow there female character. And thus they must make all men stupid or weak. And that's BS because Harley Quinn would be right up there with them. Instead they destroy the entire show out of there toxic fear. 1/10 ppl is gay. Here its more like 8/10. Because the Woke are like the brown shirts of the modern age.
