When Marine Sgt. Nicholas Brody returns home following eight years in captivity, CIA agent Carrie Mathison thinks he has turned and is connected to a terror plot to be carried out on American soil, so she engages him in a dangerous game of cat and mouse that puts America's national security at risk. Later on, Carrie gets a promotion and returns to the front lines overseas. She is assigned to one of the CIA's most volatile and dangerous stations in the Middle East, where she is in the heart of battle in the war on terror. Years later, after being disillusioned and placing herself in a self-imposed exile in Berlin, Carrie becomes estranged from the CIA, eventually returning stateside where she works for a foundation providing aid to Muslims living in America.

Despite the absurd amount of lifelines thrown at our heroine the journey of hers through eight whole seasons was getting to know an imperfectly perfect unique character who is worthy of building a whole franchise was around. Taboos, Conflicts and Ultimatums and whole new theatres of dangers that are intertwined and spiraling out of control builds a politically religious yet sociologically reasonable picture of affairs between civilizations. Performances were excellent especially for the unfallen key characters. Great music and sound effects. Strong visuals,special effects and cinematography. Great dialogues and an imaginative storytelling which is worth the wait of all eight seasons.

Me sorprendió la trama de esta temporada porque se fueron con todo a lo grande para cerrar una serie tan increíble como esta y que bueno que así fue, el desarrollo de la historia es orgánico en todo momento y se siente muy real, lo cual no es nada nuevo ya que siempre han sido así las temporadas de Homeland, solo hubo dos cosas que no me gustaron del todo, una de ellas la relación de Carrie con Yevgeny que se sintió artificial en todo momento por como cerraron los eventos de la S07 y el cierre en el capítulo final, dejaron muchas cosas en el aire una vez se da el gran desenlace. Aun así, me parece que donde termina el personaje de Carrie es totalmente coherente con lo que fue su desarrollo en la serie. Homeland es increíble de principio a fin, la forma de plantear misterios, conspiraciones y de desarrollar sus personajes temporada tras temporada la hace una de las mejores series que he visto. Terminar series que te han acompañado por tanto tiempo tiene otro sentir.
