John J. O'Connor New York Times Suddenly the jagged edges are being smoothed, and the dark humor is turning into shtick... No doubt encouraged by network nabobs, the producers are clearly trying to make Homicide more viewer-friendly. Grit is fading into cute. Aug 15, 2018 Full Review James Rampton Independent (UK) The best programme on television, bar none... If Andre Braugher isn't the best actor on television, anywhere, we'll eat our case of Ambre Solaire. Aug 15, 2018 Full Review Ken Tucker Entertainment Weekly There's never been a better television actor than Braugher; he holds the small screen the way that major movie stars can command the big screen. Rated: B+ Aug 15, 2018 Full Review Cynthia Fuchs PopMatters Homicide continues in 1994-'95 to be the most innovative series on television. In part, this has to do with its acute self-awareness as television. Aug 15, 2018 Full Review Craig Tomashoff People Magazine After trial runs during the past two years, the Barry Levinson-coproduced show is in its first full season and continues to be the best drama - not just cop drama - on TV. Higashi K I am glad that it is back, but they waited a bit too long to bring it back. Back in the 90's it was fresh and innovative. The stories that made it great then has already been done by CSI, Law and Order, and the NCIS franchise. It is really showing it's age.
