Isaiah K really sad really really sad Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/11/25 Full Review Phil S Sad to see the show end the way that it did - but the directors leaving for bigger things can ruin amazing things. That said, this season was not a total screw up, it was still fairly solid and ended one of the best sitcoms produced since Seinfeld and Larry David. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/31/23 Full Review Audience Member This season did something that none of the prior seasons did-it brought a tear to my eye. The family and family dynamic have evolved. Kimchee's role increasing in the last two seasons has really been a positive aspect of the show. Mrs. Kim's disease is an example of how the show incorporates serious issues into the fabric of a funny and heartfelt show. It is sad that this show will not be returning; however, it is, perhaps, more important that the five seasons filmed were ALL very good and enjoyable. The Kim family is a wonderfully warm, funny, and quirky show that I really enjoyed. I was disappointed to read all the criticism that Simu Liu Had for the show. He is entitled to his opinion but as an outsider I see the show a great family show and one that positively exposes non-Koreans to Korean culture and language in a way that makes them see their own family in the Kims.
