Ben Pobjie Sydney Morning Herald Even in its 16th season, this is still the stuff the show does well: social observation mixed with intense exploration of characters' demons Apr 16, 2020 Full Review James Montgomery Rolling Stone Perhaps it's better Stabler isn't around to see this. Apr 16, 2020 Full Review Jennifer Gerson Uffalussy Guardian The show has made increasingly bold strides to become a meta-commentary on pop culture, contributing intelligent, critical dialogue to the sensationalised current events it appropriates. Apr 15, 2020 Full Review Drew McWeeny HitFix Law & Order is a TV institution at this point, and eventually, they find a way to grind any complex issue down to the dullest possible point so that anyone, no matter how much or how little they know, can follow what's going on. Apr 17, 2020 Full Review Malcolm Hopwood The Post NZ Unlike Law And Order, Special Victims Unit has lasted because of Detective Olivia Benson, powerfully portrayed by Mariska Hargitay. She has given the series its authority. Apr 16, 2020 Full Review Bob Chipman Birth.Movies.Death. I can't fault possible real-life inspirations for finding ["Intimidation Game"] exploitative (it is) and triggering; but from a strictly critical perspective I thought it was a solid example of what the series does at its cheesy, sleazy "best." Audience Member Getting better and better Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member awesome!! Love the show! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member The best of the Law & Order series in my opinion. Chemistry and interesting cases are present. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member I used to love this show, but with the new show runners and writers, it has deteriorated rapidly this last couple of years. It's not even drawing me in anymore. I don't think that they realize that it's getting tired and their attempts at changing it up are not working with many fans. I probably won't be returning for a 17th season. But they had a fantastic run. I'll just relish in the older episodes where the writing and acting was so much better.
