Though Little Fires Everywhere at times plays it too safe, sparks fly when it lets well-matched leads Kerry Washington and Reese Witherspoon dig into the difficult questions it does dare to ask.

Megan McCluskey TIME Magazine ...tensions within the all-too-polished community begin to escalate... May 24, 2023 Full Review Trimble Bitch Media In the end, the show does more than make room for a shift in Elena's worldview. It also registers just how much this sliver of hope has cost the more marginalized others in her life. Mar 16, 2021 Full Review Melinda Houston Sydney Morning Herald The cast here is fantastic (the kids are unbelievably good) and it's packed with clever detail. Rated: 4/5 Jun 8, 2020 Full Review Serena Seghedoni Loud and Clear Reviews Little Fires Everywhere tackles motherhood, identity and terrible life choices through complex, compelling characters that are neither good nor bad, but somewhere in between. Rated: 4.5/5 Oct 22, 2023 Full Review Daniel Seddon NME (New Musical Express) There are fireworks here, but the peripheral characters and their unravelling lives are the ones that are more likely to stay with you. Tamara B An absolute masterpiece. What a masterclass in writing, plot twists and character development. The whole cast was impeccable, an outstanding level of acting.. Amazingly I had never seen Kerry Washington in anything before. Have I been living under a rock? She is mind blowing, sublime….she is truth! She is so utterly compelling that when she’s on screen you are magnetised. Reese Witherspoon is as wonderful as ever! This wonderfully talented woman cannot put a foot wrong. Her amazing company bought the rights to the book and she made sure to hire a lot of female talent to make this excellent series. I have loved and adored Witherspoon since Legally Blonde. Thr rest of the cast, all the kids are sensational ! Lexi Underwoid is sublime, so mesmeric. The nuances she infuses her acting with are compelling and so sophisticated. Jade Pettyjohn, Megan Stott, Gavin Lewis, Jordan Elsaas, Stevonte Hart are all wonderful. They all light up the screen. All naturals! Other cast members Rosemary DeWitt, Huang Lu and Joshua Jackson and suoerb! I binged watched this over two days. It was the televisual equivalent of a book you cannot put down. It is perfection, a must see!! It is a series I will definitely return to. Hope you enjoy . Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/16/25 Full Review Keith M Loved it! True masterpiece of writing and acting! Characters and storyline were compelling and authentic. Was not predictable and did a great job of illustrating both sides of a situation with both intended and unintended consequences. Looking forward to season 2. Great job. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/10/24 Full Review John M Complete waste of time. Reese was good. Kerry Washington is the worst actress on the planet. Moves at a glacial pace. Utterly ridiculous plot. Typical wokester BS from Hollywood. Worst series I have watched. Don't waste your time! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 10/15/24 Full Review Erika F Best series I have watched in a while, and one where you can see everyone's point of view and understand. Stayed with me this series Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/21/24 Full Review David W While very watchable and featuring a braided storyline that is unveiled for the audience in a well-thought-out manner, the show falls short with both the character development of its heroes and villains. Coupled with an ending that seems to be one episode too short, I would only watch this again if there were nothing better to choose from. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/27/24 Full Review Pamela H This is 8 episodes of misery, but it was so gripping. The acting is tremendous. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/07/24 Full Review Read all reviews
