What to Know

Critics Consensus

Addictive, but problematic, Love Is Blind is undeniably binge-able, but its version of romance often comes off more toxic than aspirational.

Debra B The show is a unique reality TV show, and I don't usually watch reality TV shows. One recommendation for a show would be a therapist as an option since the show does have individuals with their emotions. As a social worker, I believe the half of today's problems would solve by how we treat each other and would have someone to help process current concerns or emotions. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/12/23 Full Review Pia D I actually hope these people were/are hired actors and not actually like that in life because if so than humanity is already fallen Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member I can't believe I finished the whole first season, but it was indeed something that was mildly entertaining and passed the time. I had the keyboard by my side, constantly skipping over various parts, so I probably watched it at around 2x speed overall. The fact that we, humans, like to watch other humans go through this makes me question how evolved or primal our instincts are. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member First: None of the contestants are average... they are all very nice looking, slim, athletic, so there's that. Maybe not so blind? Second: A few conversations and lust don't equal Love. Third: Where was the diversity? I felt really sorry for Barnett..... he should have run for the hills, that girl was a train wreck. It was obvious this relationship was built on their sexual relationship, and immaturity - sort of a theme of one or both throughout the show. I bet that marriage lasted about 45 seconds. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review tom m According to Netflix's new top-10 ratings this show was #3 in the U.S. when I watched it (2020-03). Oh well. Viewing this has reminded me why I don't watch much, if any, reality tv. So hyperbolic. So melodramatic. Such lame dialogue. People cast for their looks and not much else (apparently). I was tempted to watch by some tangential glowing references in some of the podcasts I listen to. It's good to be reminded of past good decisions I guess. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member This show was so melodramatic. It seemed like all of the people on the show were only on the show to be on TV. There was no real emotions there. It was manipulative, so fake. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
