*Luther* Season 5 brings back Idris Elba's gritty, intense detective for another gripping round. The dark atmosphere and high-stakes drama are as thrilling as ever, with Elba delivering a powerhouse performance that keeps you hooked. The villain is chilling, and the psychological tension is on point, but the plot sometimes feels a bit too chaotic and rushed. That said, the explosive action and compelling character dynamics make up for it, creating an edge-of-your-seat season. It’s not the strongest of the series, but it’s a solid and entertaining ride for any *Luther* fan.

Entertaining and well done. I think some of the popular ratings may be a little inflated due to the halo effect of Idris Elba. He did put in yet another stellar performance, but overall the show / story may not warrant as much praise as it has received.

It's dark. Really dark. But the coolest serial killer case in history. Plus Elba is incredible as usual. Not for the faint of heart though. Wouldn't recommend to my church buddies.
