Judy Flander Chicago Tribune No wonder this series continues to have such high ratings, even as it ends its long TV run. It just keeps getting better. Jun 21, 2021 Full Review Fred Rothenberg Associated Press Alan Alda cowrote this [premiere], and the treatment displays the program's hallmarks of jabbing humor and strong underlying feeling. Jun 17, 2021 Full Review Brian Lowry Variety A lot of great TV characters have come and gone, but MASH finally gets the edge over the rest. It was a class act... right until that helicopter made its last ride over the horizon. Sep 17, 2018 Full Review Michael Dougan San Francisco Examiner It's a nice [premiere] episode, and watching it put me in a premature mood for mourning M*A*S*H, which will go off the air forever in a number of weeks. Jun 21, 2021 Full Review Terry Kelleher Miami Herald The humanistic tone is present as usual, but the insights are shallow and the humor lacks bite. Maybe M*A*S*H will solve its laugh-track problem before the boys finally come home from Korea. Jun 17, 2021 Full Review Carrie Wittmer Business Insider It's a bittersweet ending that forever changed what a series finale for a TV show can be, because it doesn't always have to be the happiest ending possible.
