Season 2 – Parks and Recreation

      2009 Comedy List
96% 23 Reviews Tomatometer 95% 500+ Ratings Audience Score Leslie Knope, a midlevel bureaucrat in an Indiana Parks and Recreation Department, hopes to beautify her town (and boost her own career) by helping local nurse Ann Perkins turn an abandoned construction site into a community park, but what should be a fairly simple project is stymied at every turn by oafish bureaucrats, selfish neighbors, governmental red tape and a myriad of other challenges. Leslie's colleague Tom Haverford, who delights in exploiting his position for personal gain, is as likely to undermine her efforts as to help her, while her boss, Ron Swanson, is adamantly opposed to government in any form, even though he's a bureaucrat himself. Amy S This show is my absolute favourite. From season 2 it really puts it’s foot on the gas and never takes it off. All the characters give everything, they are all both relatable and outrageous in the best ways possible. If you haven’t watched, what are you doing?! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/09/24 Full Review noah g best comedy show of all time Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/30/24 Full Review Jakey B The second season really kicks the show off. Its extremely funny, shifting from dry awkward comedy to more outlandish situational comedy, but in this case for the better. Its characters have also become more unique and likable. And now the show can branch out to multiple story lines and create its own identity. Such an entertaining and easy to watch show that keeps itself realised without focusing on unnecessary drama. Really great second season. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/24/23 Full Review DYLANZS W Way better season then the first I loved the comedy and overall made me feel great Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 05/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Inne, nieco słabsze i bardziej nienaturalne "The Office". Zabijacz czasu, niezły do oglądania kątem oka przy robieniu czegoś innego. Wolne tempo. Bardzo mocno przerysowane postacie, mało zmieniają się wraz z fabułą Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review lasse l The characters develop nicely and it's a good deal funnier than the first season. The cast shakeup at the end is a good call as the character dynamics were a little bland at times. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Patrick Smith Daily Telegraph (UK) Quite brilliant: clever, witty and no longer completely reliant on the cringe-inducing humour that turned some viewers off the early episodes. Oct 11, 2019 Full Review Heather Havrilesky Salon.com After a slow start in its first season, this show is firing on all pistons, transforming a source of kooky, mild amusement to the kind of smart, incisive parody that's utterly addictive. Oct 9, 2019 Full Review Jonah Weiner Slate Leslie has become less of a punching bag (or, rather, a more multifaceted one), and Ann has dumped Andy. These shifts in plotting have freed up the writers to make better use of the ensemble cast, where charm runs deep into the bench Oct 9, 2019 Full Review Jesse Hassenger PopMatters "Parks" has solidified Pawnee as the most vivid and hilarious fictional town since The Simpsons' Springfield. Oct 11, 2019 Full Review Will Harris Bullz-Eye.com All that's really different is that the show's writers were able to implement all of their "what worked, what didn't work" lessons from Season One and flesh out the characters. But, wow, what a difference it makes. Rated: 5/5 Oct 11, 2019 Full Review Doug Norrie CinemaBlend The characters on Parks and Recreation are extremely strong. They have depth and are hilarious. Even Amy Poehler has toned it back of late, allowing for a more well-rounded and believable character. Oct 11, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews
