Season 4 – Parks and Recreation

      2011 Comedy List
100% 20 Reviews Tomatometer 97% 500+ Ratings Audience Score Leslie Knope, a midlevel bureaucrat in an Indiana Parks and Recreation Department, hopes to beautify her town (and boost her own career) by helping local nurse Ann Perkins turn an abandoned construction site into a community park, but what should be a fairly simple project is stymied at every turn by oafish bureaucrats, selfish neighbors, governmental red tape and a myriad of other challenges. Leslie's colleague Tom Haverford, who delights in exploiting his position for personal gain, is as likely to undermine her efforts as to help her, while her boss, Ron Swanson, is adamantly opposed to government in any form, even though he's a bureaucrat himself. Critics Consensus

Leslie Knope runs for City Council while Parks and Recreation runs its own campaign as one of the very best sitcoms on television, making a persuasive case with consistent hilarity and an ample dose of heart.

noah g maybe the best season of the show Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/30/24 Full Review Cowni F One of the best seasons of one of the funniest and most heartfelt and uplifting sitcoms of all time. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/27/23 Full Review Jakey B This show continues to improve as it goes along and this is a simply perfect season with a really investing plotline with mostly every episode developing the plot or characters quite significantly. With really witty writing and a fully formed cast of characters. There is so limited filler for a sit-com, because the season is focused on one plotline so it can constantly find ways to keep you hooked and entertained with excellent humour, some emotion and even more political satire than before. Really impressed by how much this show develops so quickly without ever being too much or too little. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Inne, nieco słabsze i bardziej nienaturalne "The Office". Zabijacz czasu, niezły do oglądania kątem oka przy robieniu czegoś innego. Wolne tempo. Bardzo mocno przerysowane postacie, mało zmieniają się wraz z fabułą Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review lasse l A very good season. The election plotline is fun and different. Paul Rudd and Kathryn Hahn are nice addition to the cast. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Fantastic! Some of the best comedy I've ever seen. Jason Bailey DVDTalk.com The show isn't just for political wonks, and the gift of season four is its ability to tell one long story over the course of the year while making every episode work as a stand-alone. Rated: 4.5/5 Oct 11, 2019 Full Review Andy Greenwald Grantland Sure, it's hard to maintain a finely tuned joke machine like 30 Rock or a creaky, but still seaworthy, ocean liner like The Office. But to my mind, what Parks is doing is even more difficult: consistently making us laugh while still drawing us in. Oct 10, 2019 Full Review Mary McNamara Los Angeles Times There are many reasons to watch NBC's marvelously funny Parks and Recreation, but at this point I only need one: Ron Swanson. Oct 10, 2019 Full Review Doug Norrie CinemaBlend Four seasons in they've created the funniest show currently on television, and deftly established an expert mix of comedy, story and deeper character development. Oct 11, 2019 Full Review Dustin Rowles Pajiba All the warm and fuzzy magic that once belong to Jim and Pam on The Office now belongs to Andy and April... though with Andy and April it has the added advantage of two of television's more unique characters. Rated: A- Oct 10, 2019 Full Review Carina Belles We Got This Covered It's still the funniest show on TV. Tonight's premiere was no exception -- the show's outrageous wit was out in full force.
