Explore life, death and everything in between through the relatable, hilarious and brutally honest lens of the working-class Conner household, which is located in the drab, fictional exurb of Langford, Ill; with the inimitable Roseanne Barr at its epicenter as the family's matriarch, the series tackles current issues with fresh stories and even more laughs; Roseanne is joined by her husband, Dan and their children, D.J., Darlene and Becky; Roseanne's warm, but neurotic, sister Jackie rounds out the core of the family.

What to Know

Critics Consensus

The Conners gain riches while Roseanne goes to rags in an incalculably ill-judged final season that trades the blue collar heart of the series in exchange for a series of outlandish wish-fulfillment.

Kathryn VanArendonk New York Magazine/Vulture Season nine of Roseanne is like a homunculus of Roseanne Barr's fears and aspirations... It's a portrait of someone on TV who is deeply conflicted about the culture of being on TV, while also frantically trying to stay on TV. Mar 5, 2019 Full Review Kimberly Potts New York Magazine/Vulture The worst part about the lottery story line? Roseanne became a show that mocked the family we fell in love with. Mar 5, 2019 Full Review Lucy Mangan Guardian Season nine was a truly terrible thing to unleash upon a viewing public, let alone one as loyal and committed to a show as its fans were to Roseanne. Mar 5, 2019 Full Review Carrie Wittmer Business Insider The ninth season of Roseanne was such a mess that everything that happened in it got completely ignored for its brief tenth season and revival in March. Brandon L Everyone is gonna say season 9 is horrible but not me I love how weird this season was they win the lottery & at the end it was just a dream Roseanne was writing a book it was sad for the finale I just love this season especially the theme song they gave it… Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 10/27/23 Full Review Paul G Show is amazing. Reminds me of my family upbringing. Roseanne really made that show come to life. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 08/06/23 Full Review Audience Member I remember watching this season when I was younger and thinking "what the hell happened"? It just didn't make sense that this family would win the lottery. The fact that the Connors were everyday blue collar people was the main reason the audience connected with the show. They definitely "jumped the shark" with this season. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
