Judy Berman TIME Magazine Bowser and Davenport aren't to be underestimated, either. Beyond the witty dialogue and fashionable outfits, they've grounded this appealing series in the specifics of identity and place. May 17, 2021 Full Review Inkoo Kang The Hollywood Reporter Fizzy yet substantial, Run the World offers exactly the feeling you'd want while catching up with an old friend over cocktails: It's giddy, gossipy and gladdening. May 17, 2021 Full Review Alan Sepinwall Rolling Stone If Run the World isn't copying its many ancestors, it's a worthy successor to them -- smart and sweet and full of the kind of energy that can spark when old friends hang out together. Rated: 3.5/5 May 17, 2021 Full Review Lapacazo Magrira Sandoval New York Amsterdam News Run the World is -- in my opinion -- a perfect show for a myriad of reasons but the most poignant is telling the stories of African-American women, looking at their lives in their 30s, with questions and passion. Jun 3, 2021 Full Review Melissa Camacho Common Sense Media Run the World stays away from stereotypes, and offers moments that are both entertaining and meaningful. Best of all, it never loses sight of the fact that life is just better when you have a loyal group of friends who are there when you need them. Rated: 4/5 Jun 2, 2021 Full Review Joel Keller Decider Proves that a TV formula can be repeated if the characters and actors are appealing and the writing starts to create worlds around them that are start to stand out on their own. lars k Well written, well acted by an appealing group of actors. I thought I'd be bored (running out of things to watch with the strike and such) but this has captivated me… Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/17/23 Full Review Audience Member Episode 1 was wonderful Episode 2 not so much but then by Episode 3 it found it groove again. Its a light harted show. Came off as a mix between Insecure, Sex in the City, Emily in Paris vibes. Friends braving the world type of show. Not ground breaking but for a Sunday night it was great. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Best All-Black & Female series of 2021. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Loved it! Very relatable and love seeing well-educated bougie Black girls navigating through life! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Lot's of boring relationship drama. Looks stylish and good, but is actually very boring. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/09/23 Full Review Read all reviews
